A peaceful space for you to let go, unwind, and simply be...
with the goats!
Dote & Goat

Do you need a break from the world? How about quiet and stillness? Maybe you just need to be reminded that you are loved just as you are.

Dote & Goat offers an individual, therapeutic wellness experience—a chance to slow down, unplug, and reconnect with animals, nature, and yourself. Whether you're seeking emotional clarity, gentle support, or simply a break from the pressures of daily life, time with our goats can be unexpectedly healing.

While the experience is therapeutic, it is not a traditional therapy session. It’s self-guided and open-ended—designed to let you show up just as you are, and leave feeling a little lighter.

Though Maddie is a Licensed Professional Counselor, clinical mental health therapy is not available to the general public. If you are in search of clinical therapy, please reach out to Maddie directly at: ml.risingtides@gmail.com

DOte & goat – FAQ
Is this therapy with a licensed counselor?
  • No, The Doting Goat does not offer therapy or clinical services to the general public. Goat Therapy is a non-clinical wellness experience that blends emotional rest, nature, and animal connection. It may feel therapeutic, but it is not professional counseling.
Can I receive therapy with the goats?
  • Clinical sessions with goats are only available to established Rising Tides Psychotherapy clients. These are scheduled separately and are not part of The Doting Goat offerings.
What exactly is a wellness experience?
  • It’s a grounding, restorative visit with intentional space for slowing down, connecting with the goats, and being present. You may experience mindfulness, light movement, reflection, or simply peaceful animal time, but it’s not clinical therapy.
Can goats help with anxiety or trauma?
  • Many people find goats incredibly comforting. They can help with emotional regulation, mindfulness, and connection, but they’re not a substitute for clinical mental health care.
Can children attend?
  • Yes! Our wellness offerings are open to the public and suitable for all ages unless otherwise noted. Sessions are designed to be gentle and inclusive.
How do I book therapy with you?
  • If you're seeking clinical mental health services, please email Maddie directly at ml.risingtides@gmail.com. I can let you know if I have availability or refer you to someone else if needed.
